THE VOICE VIP Pass Giveaway winners will receive one (1) pass good for one (1) person to THE VOICE auditions at the Austin Convention Center on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th. The winner must enter to win
online. Winners must be able to verify identity to claim prize. One
(1) pass will be given away to ten (10) winners.
1.TO ENTER: No purchase or payment is necessary to win. Log on to kxan.com and go to the community tab to enter. Submission period will begin on Wednesday, July 7th at 12:00am and end on Wednesday, July 10th at 12:00pn. Winners will be selected randomly on July 10, 2013 at approximately 1:00pm.
2.ELIGIBILITY: THE VOICE VIP Pass giveaway contest is open to KXAN viewers in the Austin DMA area. THE VOICE VIP Pass winners will need to log on to NBCthevoice.com and create an Artist Account. When creating the Artist Account, participants will have the option to choose a date and time of their choice to audition. THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. VIP Pass winners need to be flexible to attend any audition session and should plan accordingly. Please read paragraphs A-I carefully for eligilibity requirements to participate in THE VOICE.
Please be advised that you must meet the following eligibility requirements (which may be changed at any time by Finnmax LLC in its sole discretion) in order to proceed with the application process and to participate in the The Voice:
a) You must be legally here in the United States and must be eligible to accept the prize1, if awarded, with the unrestricted right to work for any U.S. employer and live in the United States. Proof of such eligibility must be provided to Producer. Acceptable forms of proof include (without limitation) a valid US passport or combination of valid US driver’s license and valid social security card.
b) You must be at least fifteen (15) years of age by August 31, 2013. All applicants who meet this criterion, including all persons significantly older than fifteen (15) years of age, are welcome and encouraged to apply to be a participant. All applicants younger than eighteen (18) years of age must have all parents/guardians complete the Parental/Guardian Consent release attached to this application.
c) You must not now be a candidate for public office and must agree not to become a candidate for public office until six (6) months after initial broadcast of all programs in which you appear, if selected as a participant.
d) You must voluntarily submit to and complete a background check, in accordance with applicable laws.
e) You must be willing to travel at your own expense if necessary to audition in July/August of 2013 (or as otherwise scheduled by the Producer) at one of the following locations nearest to you: New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; St. Louis, MO and Las Vegas, NV. Producer reserves the right to change the number or the identity of the foregoing locations at any time. All travel expenses for the interview will be the applicant's sole expense.
f) To accept an invitation to be a finalist, you must timely complete and return the Participant Agreement Package that will be furnished to you by the Producer and will include, among other things, a Participant Release Agreement including release forms and waivers for review and signature by you and/or your family members. Additionally, any offer to become a finalist may be conditioned upon your submission to examinations to be conducted in Los Angeles, CA, by medical professionals selected by and paid for by the Producer and the certification of the medical professionals that you meet all physical and psychological requirements.
g) You must be willing to travel to Los Angeles, CA, for up to one (1) week in August, 2013 (or as otherwise scheduled by Producer) for the final selection process. Pre-approved economy travel (roundtrip to and from Los Angeles, CA, and your home in the United States) and lodging to be provided and paid for by Producer.
h) If you are selected as a participant, you must be willing to travel to and reside at one or more undisclosed locations in the United States for approximately two weeks in September/October, 2013, four weeks in January/February, 2014, and an additional eleven weeks in March/April/May/June, 2014 (or as otherwise scheduled by Producer). Economy travel to be paid for by Producer.
i) You may not participate in the Program if your participation would create impropriety or the appearance of impropriety. In making this determination, Producer and any television network broadcasting the Program will consider whether you nor any of your immediate family members or anyone living in your household may be or have been within the past two (2) years employees, officers, directors or agents of any of the following: (a) Producer, One Three Television, LLC, NBCUniversal Media, LLC, NBC Studios LLC, any entity owned or controlled by or affiliated with the foregoing or Mark Burnett, any television network broadcasting the Program, or any of their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated or related entities; (b) any person or entity involved in the development, production, distribution or other exploitation of the reality- based program currently entitled “THE VOICE” (the “Program”) or any variation thereof; (c) Any sponsor of the Program or its advertising agency; or (d) Any person or entity supplying goods, services or prizes to the Program. In addition, Producer reserves the right to render ineligible any person that Producer determines, in its sole discretion, is sufficiently connected with the production, administration, judging, or distribution of the Program such that his or her participation in the Program could create the appearance of impropriety.
The foregoing eligibility requirements may be amended, revised or changed at any time and in any fashion in Producer’s sole discretion.
3.ODDS: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
4.PRIZES
AND NOTIFICATION: The winners will be contacted via phone and will need
to pick up their tickets at the KXAN/KNVA station. Winners must be able
to verify identity to claim prize.
5.Contest
winner is solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any taxes
on prizes. Winner may waive their right to receive a prize. No cash or
other substitution is allowed, and prizes are nontransferable. Prizes
and individual components of prize awards are subject to availability
and KXAN/KNVA reserves the right to substitute one or more prizes or
prize components with a prize or component of equal or greater value.
All prizes claimed will be awarded.
6. THE VOICE VIP Pass Giveaway contest is subject to all federal,
state, and local laws and regulations. Participation in the Contest
constitutes an agreement by each entrant to comply with these Official
Contest Rules. Failure to comply with any term or condition of these
Official Rules may result in a winner's disqualification and the award
of his or her prize to an alternate winner.
7.All
issues and questions concerning the construction, validity,
interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights
and obligations of the entrant and the sponsor in connection with the
Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws
of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or
conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Texas, or
any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of
any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.
8.KXAN/KNVA will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other
inadvertent textual errors in these Official Rules or in other contest
materials. THE VOICE VIP Pass Giveaway contest is subject to all
federal, state and local regulations. Void where prohibited. If you have
